4:1 Epoxy Resin is specifically designed as a laminating and sheathing resin and a general purpose adhesive for the marine, and other associated industries. With the latest developments in Epoxy technology the 4:1 system offers excellent wet-out characteristics giving improved workability. Ideally suited for use with fiberglass cloths this system provides a waterproof shield and superior protection of timber substrates.

– 2 types of hardener available: Winter and Summer (Please state which you would prefer when ordering)
– Winter Hardener ensures quick cure times at lower temperatures. (Used summer for longer working times in winter)
– Summer Hardener is used for conditions (above 15C) where standard working times are required but still providing an overnight cure.

Mix in small quantities as the resin temperature rises.

Coverage – Wetting coat over 200g (6oz) cloth-2m²/L, 2nd coat over 200g (6oz) cloth 6m²/L.

Recoat varies depending on winter or summer hardener and temperature, refer TDS for more info.

Extenders for epoxy resin –
Glue Powder mix with 4:1 Epoxy resin to increase Viscosity to a workable glue without sacrificing the strength of the end product.
Filling & Fairing powder mix with 4:1 Epoxy Resin to obtain a workable cream which displays excellent working and sanding properties
