For the best results, we recommend properly cleaning and priming your surface before application. Unprimed surfaces can lead to uneven color absorption. The paint can be easily applied using a standard 3/8-inch nap roller or an HVLP spray gun. Due to the nature of the bright, highly saturated pigments, two coats are recommended to achieve the perfect, uniform finish required for seamless digital compositing.

Choosing Between Green and Blue

Rosco DigiComp HD is available in both Chroma Key Green and Chroma Key Blue to suit the specific needs of your production. As a general industry guideline, blue screen is often preferred when shooting on traditional film, as the blue layer of film emulsion is highly sensitive. Conversely, green screen is typically the standard for digital and HD cameras, whose sensors are inherently more sensitive to the green spectrum.
