Surface Preparation & Application:

For the best results, proper surface preparation is crucial. Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants. For new timber, sand to a smooth finish and remove all dust. For previously painted surfaces, remove any loose or flaking paint and sand to a sound substrate. For detailed instructions, please refer to the product specification sheet.

Apply two coats of Cotec Legacy Semi-Gloss Exterior Acrylic Paint using a high-quality brush, roller, or airless sprayer. For spraying, a minimum of 2500 psi and a 515 tip or larger is recommended. Thinning with up to 10% water may be required for spraying.

Paint Tinting: Creating the Perfect Color

1) Tradextra uses two types: White Base and Accent Base. White Base will be used for lighter colors. Accent Base is used for very dark or bright colors.

2) There is NO charge for tinting paint.

3) Tradextra can match colors at our facilities. If you know the color name and manufacturer we can usually match it.
